WOOD COUNTY, Wis. — A fatal two-vehicle crash in Wood County has claimed the life of Heather R. Nigh, a 30-year-old woman from the Milladore area, leaving family, friends, and the local community in mourning.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the collision occurred Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of County Highway H and County Highway M. Deputies were dispatched to the scene shortly after noon following reports of a serious crash involving a passenger vehicle and a plow truck.

Preliminary findings indicate that the plow truck was traveling northbound when it entered the intersection and collided with an eastbound vehicle. Heather Nigh, who was in the passenger vehicle, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At least one other individual involved in the crash was injured and transported to Marshfield Medical Center for treatment. Authorities have identified the other parties involved but have not released additional medical updates.
