KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knoxville Police Department Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night in the 2300 block of East Magnolia Avenue, leaving an 18-year-old male dead.
Officers responded to a call at 2309 E. Magnolia Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. on December 19, 2025. Upon arrival, they found the teenage victim with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. Officers rendered immediate medical aid on the scene before the victim was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
At this time, the exact circumstances leading to the shooting are unconfirmed and remain under active investigation. Preliminary information from detectives suggests there may have been an altercation involving the victim inside the building at 2309 E. Magnolia prior to the shooting.
As of now, a suspect has not been positively identified or charged in connection with the homicide.
