MADISON, Tenn. — The Madison community is mourning the loss of 23-year-old Aubrey Bellamy, who was shot and killed inside an apartment Saturday night, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.
Officers were called to an apartment complex on Skyline Ridge Drive around 7:20 p.m. after reports of a shooting. When police arrived, they found Bellamy with a gunshot wound to the chest. Life-saving efforts were attempted, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said Bellamy had been involved in a confrontation with two other men inside the apartment prior to the shooting. Authorities have not released descriptions of the individuals involved, and no arrests have been announced as the investigation continues.
