Jordyn Lyttle Obituary-Death: Fall River bicyclist killed in hit-and-run crash
FALL RIVER, Mass. — The Fall River community is mourning the loss of Jordyn Lyttle, a 34-year-old man who died Sunday after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, authorities confirmed.

According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, Fall River police were called to the area of 214 Stafford Road around 5:15 p.m. on December 21 following reports that a bicyclist had been hit by a car. When officers arrived, they found Lyttle lying in the roadway with severe injuries.

Lyttle was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His passing has sent shockwaves through the community, with friends and loved ones remembering him as a kind, energetic, and well-liked individual whose life ended far too soon.

Investigators say preliminary findings indicate Lyttle was riding his bicycle when he was struck from behind by a green 2005 Subaru Legacy. That vehicle reportedly fled the scene. Authorities said a second vehicle became involved after Lyttle was thrown into the opposite lane of traffic; the driver of that vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, along with Fall River Police, are continuing to investigate the crash. Officials are urging anyone who may have information about the suspected hit-and-run vehicle to contact law enforcement.

As the investigation moves forward, residents say the loss of Jordyn Lyttle has left a painful void in Fall River, renewing calls for accountability and safer roadways to prevent similar tragedies.
