TACOMA, Wash. — Bridgett Gorospe and her family are navigating an incredibly painful chapter after losing both of her parents within a short span of time, a double tragedy that has shaken loved ones and the wider community.
Bridgett’s father, Mike LaRoque, passed away on April 16, 2025. Just months later, the family was struck by another heartbreaking loss when her mother, Char, died peacefully on Christmas Day. Family members say the couple, who shared a lifetime of love and devotion, are now reunited after years spent building a close-knit family.
The back-to-back losses have taken a heavy emotional and financial toll on the Gorospe family. Medical costs and funeral arrangements, compounded by the grief of losing both parents so close together, have made this period especially overwhelming.
