Parker Maurice Bard Obituary-Death: Aspiring Firefighter and Beloved Baseball Mentor Dies at 23
Noblesville, Indiana — The Noblesville and Westfield communities are mourning the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Parker Maurice Bard, who passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2025. He was just 23 years old.

Born on May 15, 2002, in Omaha, Nebraska, Parker lived a life defined by service, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. A recent graduate of the University of Dayton, he earned a degree in education and had completed EMT training, preparing to begin a career with the fire department—an ambition that reflected his natural instinct to protect, teach, and serve his community.

Baseball was at the heart of Parker’s journey. A versatile and dedicated athlete, he played multiple positions, including pitcher, catcher, and third base, competing with teams such as Westfield High School, Indiana Nitro, the University of Dayton Flyers, Kokomo Jackrabbits, and Ocean State Waves. Beyond the field, Parker found purpose in mentorship, volunteering countless hours at youth baseball camps where he encouraged young players and helped shape their confidence both on and off the diamond.

Parker’s passions extended well beyond sports. A devoted Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan, he also enjoyed golf, music, and cooking—often sharing meals and moments of laughter with those around him. His musical tastes ranged from the timeless sounds of the Eagles and Frank Sinatra to the soulful voice of Bill Withers. Friends and family describe him as kind-hearted, generous, and effortlessly genuine—someone who made people feel valued and welcome.

Those closest to Parker knew that his greatest joy came from time spent with loved ones. He cherished his relationship with his girlfriend, Meredith McQuillen, and shared many meaningful memories with close friends Austin and Rachel Wessel, as well as the McQuillen and Wessel families. His loyal dog, Charlie, was rarely far from his side.

Parker is survived by his mother, Lynette Bard; his siblings, Jackson (Kiley) Bard and Mary Ella Bard; his girlfriend, Meredith McQuillen; extended family members; and many friends whose lives were forever changed by knowing him. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Bard, and his grandparents, Darlys Ugland, Bernice Bard, and Richard Bard.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 3, 2025, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield, Indiana, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. In honor of Parker’s love for youth sports and mentorship, memorial contributions may be made to the Miracle League of Westfield.

Though his life was tragically brief, Parker Maurice Bard leaves behind a powerful legacy of kindness, service, and inspiration—one that will continue to live on through the many people he coached, encouraged, and loved.
