
WETHERSFIELD, Conn. – A Manchester woman has died following a wrong-way, head-on collision on a state highway Saturday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
The victim has been identified as Wendy Lara, 30, of Manchester.
Details of the Crash
State Police say the crash occurred on Route 5/15 near Exit 85 in Wethersfield on Saturday morning, December 13.
Investigators report that Lara was driving a Toyota passenger vehicle when it entered the southbound lanes traveling in the wrong direction. The Toyota was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda.
Lara suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later died. The condition of the driver of the Honda has not been released.
