The Port Alberni community is mourning the loss of a cherished local voice and beloved community figure. Evan passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 45, leaving behind a legacy that will be felt for generations across the Alberni Valley and beyond.
A proud, lifelong resident of Port Alberni, Evan was deeply rooted in the community he loved so much. For more than 22 years, he dedicated his professional life to Pattison Media, serving as a cornerstone of 93.3 The PEAK. To coworkers, listeners, athletes, and families throughout the valley, Evan was far more than a radio host—he was a trusted presence, a storyteller, and a familiar voice that accompanied people through their mornings, commutes, celebrations, and challenges.
Evan truly embodied what it meant to be the “Sound of the Valley.” As the longtime host of The PEAK Morning Show, he brought energy, warmth, and authenticity to the airwaves each day. His quick wit, natural humour, and genuine kindness made listeners feel like they were starting their mornings with a friend.
