Dental Community Mourns Dr. Bruce B. Baird, Visionary Co-Founder of Productive Dentist Academy
NATIONAL — The global dental community is mourning the loss of a pioneering leader with the passing of Dr. Bruce B. Baird, co-founder of the influential Productive Dentist Academy (PDA). Dr. Baird, who passed away on January 7, 2026, was celebrated as a clinician, entrepreneur, and mentor whose work fundamentally reshaped dental practice management across the United States and beyond.

A former solo practitioner who successfully grew his own practice into a multi-doctor enterprise, Dr. Baird co-founded PDA in 2004 alongside Victoria Peterson. The organization grew from a personal mission into an international force, with its philosophy and training programs reaching all 50 states and nearly 20 countries.

His guiding principle was succinct and impactful: “You can do good while doing good.” This belief underscored a career dedicated to helping thousands of dentists achieve not only greater business success but also improved team dynamics and more balanced personal lives.

“He was a true pioneer,” a longtime colleague and PDA member stated. “Bruce had a rare clarity and generosity. He was committed to sharing everything he learned so that others could succeed. His legacy isn’t just in the systems he created, but in the thousands of practices he helped transform and the lives he improved.”

Beyond his business acumen, Dr. Baird was remembered for intentionally building organizations and systems designed to endure. His personal mentorship inspired a generation of dental leaders.

Dr. Baird is survived by his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He is remembered with profound gratitude by a worldwide network of dental professionals who credit him with building a stronger, more sustainable, and more ethical industry.
