
ELLETTSVILLE, Ind. — A deadly head-on collision on State Road 46 Thursday night has left the community in mourning after claiming the lives of two individuals, including a local resident identified as Taylor Ferguson.
According to the Ellettsville Police Department, the crash occurred just before 9 p.m. on December 18 near North Cypress Lane. Preliminary investigations indicate that a vehicle traveling westbound crossed the center line and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on.
The impact was severe, resulting in fatal injuries for both occupants of the westbound vehicle. Ferguson, who was in that vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene along with the other passenger.
Injured Victims Treated and Released
First responders arrived quickly to assist at the scene. Three people riding in the eastbound vehicle sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital in Bloomington. All three were treated and later reported to be in stable condition.
