Falls of Rough Man Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 79 Identified as Justin Nance

Breckinridge County, Ky. — The Falls of Rough community is mourning the loss of 42-year-old Justin Nance, who was killed Monday afternoon in a devastating two-vehicle collision in Breckinridge County. The fatal crash has left family members, friends, and neighbors grappling with the sudden loss of a man described as deeply connected to those around him.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers were called to the scene around 5:00 p.m. near the four-mile marker of Highway 79. Investigators say a Hyundai Sonata driven by Justin Nance crossed the center line and struck a Jeep Patriot head-on. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Nance was pronounced dead at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.

The driver of the Jeep Patriot, identified as 41-year-old Daniella Wright of Louisville, was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not released an update on her condition.

Kentucky State Police Post 4 accident reconstructionist Trooper Scott Wheatley is leading the ongoing investigation to determine the factors that contributed to the crash.
