Kennett, MO – The Kennett School District is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Braeden Williams, a cherished teacher and basketball coach who passed away recently. Williams was remembered for his unwavering dedication to his students and athletes, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he encountered.
During his tenure with the KHS Boys Basketball program and the broader Kennett sports community, Coach Williams was celebrated for his ability to inspire, motivate, and uplift. Colleagues and students alike recall his infectious energy and the rare light he brought into every room—a presence that made people gravitate toward him and feel supported.
“Braeden had such a good soul, and that’s rare to find,” shared one community member. “He showed up for everyone, and there wasn’t a person he couldn’t connect with. The world became a little lesser without him.”
Williams also contributed to Pioneer Athletics, playing a pivotal role with the Men’s Basketball team from 2017 to 2021, and was respected for his leadership, kindness, and the encouragement he offered to all. Tributes from Kennett Softball, fellow coaches, students, and the community continue to pour in, honoring his legacy and the lives he touched.
