CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — The Clarksville community is grieving the loss of Latrice Dodson, a 46-year-old woman who was killed in a motor vehicle crash Friday evening on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

According to Clarksville police, the crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. on December 19, 2025, between Peachers Mill Road and the West Fork Bridge. Dodson was traveling in a vehicle with a driver and a juvenile passenger. Authorities said both survivors were taken for medical evaluation and are currently listed in stable condition.

Dodson was a crossing guard with the Clarksville Police Department, serving students and families at Kenwood Elementary School and Ringgold Elementary School. She joined the department in August 2025 and quickly became a trusted and familiar presence, known for her dedication to keeping children safe during school hours.

Colleagues and community members described Dodson as committed, caring, and deeply invested in her role. Parents and school staff said her presence brought reassurance and consistency, especially during busy school mornings and afternoons.
