Spann, who was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, developed a passion for tennis at an early age. He went on to study Professional Tennis Management at Tyler Junior College before furthering his education at Rosebank College, building a strong foundation that blended technical expertise with leadership.
Before joining UDSC, Spann worked with the United States Tennis Association as part of its player development program.
