The equestrian and academic communities in Lancashire are mourning the loss of Jayne Pimbley, a highly respected coach and lecturer known for her dedication to shaping riders of all ages.
Pimbley was a prominent figure at Myerscough College and University, where she taught within the Practical Equine programs. Colleagues and former students describe her as an expert with a unique ability to bring out the best in every student, combining technical skill with encouragement and a hands-on approach.
“Her patience and expertise in the arena were matched by her commitment to safe and enjoyable learning,” said a colleague from the equine department. “She had a profound impact on everyone she taught.”
Beyond her professional life, Pimbley was remembered as a proud mother of two who balanced her family life with her deep passion for horsemanship. Friends note that her warmth, curiosity, and joy were as evident at home as they were in her professional settings.
Jayne Pimbley’s legacy continues through the many riders she coached, the educational programs she helped develop, and the lasting influence of her generous spirit on the equestrian community in Preston and across the region.
