Time-Sensitive Hunt in Huntersville: Police, Family Seek Missing Autistic Teen Elijah Mensah
HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville Police are asking for the public’s help to locate Elijah Mensah, a 17-year-old with high-functioning autism who has been missing since December 19, 2025. Elijah was last seen leaving Hopewell High School.

According to police, Elijah has a history of running away and has previously been located at addresses in Charlotte, including on East Blvd., Jesse Harper Drive, and Lucky Penny St. Officers have been in regular contact with his mother and are actively working the case, including tracking activity from one of his electronic devices.

Despite these efforts, Elijah’s consistent location has not been identified, prompting a public appeal for information.
