WIGAN, England — A woman was found dead Friday evening at a railway station in Wigan, prompting an emergency response and temporary disruption to train services.
British Transport Police said officers and paramedics were called to Bryn railway station in Ashton-in-Makerfield at around 6 p.m. on December 19. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. A spokesperson for British Transport Police said a file will be prepared for the coroner as part of standard procedure.
